Abby’s Senior Session - Lake City, Florida

For Abby’s senior session, we met up in the early morning in her hometown of Lake City, Florida. While both Abby and I live in Maine, it worked out that we could meet up in Florida for her senior photos! We beat the heat for a sunrise session in downtown Lake City in front of The Hotel Blanche before heading down to Lake De Soto. We then spent the evening at the beautiful Gilchrist Blue Springs State Park where a downpour delayed our start time, but cleared out the crowds for us. After the rain stopped, we had the area almost all to ourselves!

I love living and photographing in Maine, but it was so fun to mix things up and do a photo shoot in northern Florida. I love to travel and I’m always ready to go to new places!

We also did a mini family session back in Maine with Abby’s mom and sister on the Bates College campus and Abby’s boyfriend, Colby, joined us for some of her photos down in Florida. Senior sessions are the perfect opportunity to get in some photos with family and friends before graduation time sets in. Life gets a lot busier after that!
