East Bayside Maternity Session

The East Bayside neighborhood is one of my favorite urban locations to shoot at in Portland. Thankfully, my sister loves it too and asked me to shoot her maternity photos there! I’m so glad we did because we did her photos in front of a mural that has since been painted over. It is forever captured in her maternity photos!

It was a beautiful summer evening, so the sun provided some challenges for us, but we got creative and embraced the brightness. Doing sessions with family is so fun because I’m as relaxed as can be and I’m more willing to experiment with my shots. I’m an introvert at heart, but photography has helped me become a better communicator and a more confident human being all around. So, working with my sister allows me to feel comfortable getting out of my comfort zone and try new things!
